Axiata Group Bhd, a Malaysian mobile phone operator, may receive RM205 million in maiden dividends this year from its Indonesian unit, according to ECM Libra Capital Sdn Bhd.

PT XL Axiata introduced its new dividend policy of a minimum 30 per cent payout ratio, which will be progressively increased as its free cash flow improves, Bernard Ching, an analyst at ECM, said in a report today.
 
“The maiden dividends to be paid this year will act as a share price catalyst,” he said.
