PETALING JAYA: Extraordinary Efforts for Excellence, a year-end charity dinner show benefiting several good causes, will be held on Friday at One World Hotel in Bandar Utama here.

The event, a collaboration between EMC², The Edge and ECM Libra, is open to corporations or individuals who are looking to end a very tough financial year with some cheer and goodwill.

The beneficiaries of the event include MyKasih Foundation, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah, StART Society and the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia.

Apart from the proceeds off table sales, there will also be a substantial donation from ECM Libra through the ECM Libra Foundation.

The main highlight of the charity dinner show is the entertainment package designed by musician and all-round entertainer Datuk Leonard Tan, who is also known as "king of jingles" and "man with 1,000 voices".

The evening's programme will include a magic show, an art show and auction by allentan of TrueFACES Creation, and a medley of singing, dancing and comedy sketches, including a one-of-a-kind tribute to the late Michael Jackson.

Tan is confident that people of all ages will be able to enjoy his variety show.

"I notice that most charity dos are all about singers going up to sing, sing and sing. It gets so boring that people go outside and smoke and drink," he said.

The audience will be treated to an eight-course Chinese meal, and each of them will also receive free tickets to Aquaria KLCC.
