| ECM Libra posts higher 9-month net profit |

ECM Libra Avenue Bhd registered
RM70.5 million net profit for the nine months ended October 31 2007
on the back of RM138.2 million revenue. The group posted RM5.2 million
net profit and RM79.4 million revenue in the previous corresponding
period. ECM Libra attributed the rise in profit to higher stockbroking
business income. "With the transformation of ECM Libra Avenue
Securities Sdn Bhd into an investment bank, we intend to expand our
products and services to broaden our competitiveness and, in turn,
contribute positively to our revenue," the company told Bursa
Malaysia Bhd in a statement.
