Worthy cause that lures busy Kui Jien out of Singapore

DESPITE his hectic schedule as a TV host in Singapore and Malaysia, Soo Kui Jien could not resist the temptation to play in the 2nd CEO & Celebrity Charity tennis tournament on Dec 13.
Kui Jien, as he is popularly known, did not just play in last year's tournament but was also the emcee for the event and helped conduct the auction of tennis items which raised RM75,000 for the NSTP Charity Fund to help young Malaysians who have severe medical problems.

Kui Jien, the current host of Formula 1 reality travel show called Singtel Grid Girls on Tour, said the tournament is a fantastic platform for chief executive officers and celebrities to mingle and have fun.

"I honestly can't remember all my partners but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I partnered Lim Kean Onn from ECM Libra and Paul Poh from Hong Leong, who by the way won last year's tournament.

"I have been really busy on the work front this year but I manage to play twice a week in Singapore. I have found a good group of players to hit with and I will try to play a bit more as the tournament approaches.

"My training consists of playing with my son and chasing after my dog while my wife shouts at me. Tough isn't it?" said Kui Jien in jest.
