Encik Akil Hassan started his career in Hay Group, a boutique management consulting firm specialising in human capital solutions, as an Analyst. Having spent five years there, he managed to get involved in major transformation projects with notable GLCs including but not limited to Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Pemodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and many others. He specialises in HR analytics, Total Remuneration Strategy, Organisational Design and Strategic Workforce Planning. Currently he works as a Culture Manager in Oriental Interest Berhad, a property developer focused on residential development in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur where he is responsible for establishing a culture that is in line with the company's growth aspirations.

Encik Akil Hassan is the son of Dato' Seri Kalimullah bin Masheerul Hassan ("Dato' Seri Kalimullah") who is currently the Non-Executive Chairman ("Chairman") of ECM Libra Group Berhad ("ECMLG"). Dato' Seri Kalimullah will retire as Chairman and be appointed as an alternate Director to Encik Akil Hassan with effect from 1 January 2024. Dato' Seri Kalimullah is also a substantial shareholder of ECMLG. |
