We refer to the announcement dated 3 August 2006 on the above matter.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of ELAB, Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd wishes to announce that the Securities Commission had on 10 August 2006 informed that it is unable to consider the application to transfer the dealer's licence of ECM Libra Securities Sdn Bhd to HLG Securities Sdn Bhd ("Proposed Assignment") as the current policy disallows dealer's licence to be transferred.

The parties to the agreement will deliberate on the matter and an appropriate announcement will be made in due course.

This announcement is dated 15 August 2006.
